Visual Effects

 


​This program familiarizes students with the core concepts and tools needed to create visual effects in the entertainment industry. Students will explore 3D modeling, compositing, and basic simulation, mastering the use of industry-standard software such as Nuke, Houdini, and Unreal Engine. Through practical projects, students will gain essential skills in match-moving and data acquisition for visual effects. Ultimately, students will acquire the foundational knowledge necessary to create basic VFX shots and begin developing a VFX portfolio

THE SOFTWARE

Students will be introduced to the industry leading software, Maya, Nuke, Substance, Mari, ZBrush, Katana, V-Ray, Houdini, Premiere, and Photoshop. Within these software, students will learn the fundamentals of modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and editing.
