Game Development and Technology

This program introduces students to the core skills necessary for designing interactive and immersive game experiences. Focusing on level design, visual scripting, and foundational coding techniques, students will learn how to build game environments and mechanics without needing extensive programming experience. Through practical exercises in rapid prototyping and storytelling, students will develop the ability to quickly iterate and refine game ideas. By the end of the Nano-Degree, students will have a solid understanding of game design principles, the capability to create interactive levels, and fundamental game system design skills

THE SOFTWARE

Students will be introduced to the industry leading software, Maya, Nuke, Substance, Mari, ZBrush, Katana, V-Ray, Houdini, Premiere, and Photoshop. Within these software, students will learn the fundamentals of modeling, texturing, lighting, animation and editing.
